Necessary reforms must be made to hold elections as soon as possible

-Professor Mia Golam Porwar

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar stated that there is no alternative to implementing Islamic governance to build a nation free from corruption, terrorism, theft, robbery, extortion, usury, bribery, rape, inequality, and exploitation. He emphasized that the people of this country no longer want to see any dictator in power. Honest, competent, and patriotic individuals are now the need of the hour to build a new Bangladesh, and Jamaat-e-Islami is working to prepare such individuals.

He accused the previous government of crippling the country economically by laundering money abroad under the pretext of development. He also claimed that by exploiting ideological narratives, they have created division among the nation, which hindered national unity and progress. He warned that any attempt to rehabilitate fascism in the new Bangladesh would not be tolerated. He stressed that necessary reforms must be carried out to hold elections as soon as possible.

He made these remarks as the chief guest at an Eid reunion event organized by Jamaat-e-Islami in Baruna Bazar, Dumuria Upazila, Khulna district, on Friday, April 4, in the evening.
