The Honorable Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bangladesh, Mr. Aleksander G. Khozin, met with the Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, at the Jamaat Central Office on March 13 at 11 am. During this meeting, they exchanged greetings. The meeting was held in a very sincere and cordial atmosphere.

After the meeting, the Nayeb-e-Ameer Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, said in a brief press briefing about the discussions of the meeting,

“The meeting discussed the overall situation prevailing in Bangladesh, bilateral relations and investment between Bangladesh and Russia, and international relations, as well as issues of mutual interest. The Russian delegation assured us that Russia will continue to support Bangladesh in the future. At the same time, they also expressed their hope that Russian investment in Bangladesh will increase in the days to come.”

During the meeting, Honorable Ambassador Mr. Aleksander G. Khozin was accompanied by Mr. Anton Chernov, Political Counselor of the Russian Embassy. On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, Nayeb-e-Ameer Ameer ans former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Assistant Secretaries General Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan and Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive Council Member Mr. Mubarak Hossain and Foreign Affairs Advisor to Ameer-e-Jamaat, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present.
