Murderer Sheikh Hasina and her cronies must be tried before the election, asserts Secretary General

-Professor Mia Golam Porwar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar said that reforms and election preparations must be carried out simultaneously. Before the next national parliament election, the dictatorial murderer Sheikh Hasina, her cronies and criminals must be tried in the International Crimes Tribunal and then elections must be held.

No elections have been held in the last 15 and a half years, a farce has been made with the people of Bangladesh in the name of elections. Necessary reforms in the election system must be made, and murderer Hasina and her cronies must be tried to hold a transparent, participatory and acceptable election,. In addition, the Awami cronies hiding in the administration must be removed; otherwise, it will not be possible to hold a good election at all. Sheikh Hasina has destroyed the country. On August 5, she was forced to flee to India in the face of mass protests. Now she is continuing her efforts to destabilize the country by saying whatever she wants from the shelter of India. As a result, the country's aggrieved revolutionary people are becoming more aggrieved due to her provocation. We cannot fall into the trap set by Hasina. We have to remain calm and focus on the work of building the country. At one time, we did not have dignity and respect anywhere in the world. But Islam has honored us, made us a nation of heroes. Islam has made us a ruling nation. Islam has made us glorious. Therefore, the beauty of Islam is the dream of the people of Bangladesh.

He said these things as the chief guest in a workers' conference organized by Netrokona District Jamaat-e-Islami at the historic Moktar Para ground in Netrokona on Saturday, February 8 at 10 am.

The grand workers' conference was presided over by Netrokona District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Sadeq Ahmad Harish and jointly hosted by Secretary Maulana Mahbubur Rahman and Assistant Secretary Professor Masum Mustafa. In his speech as a special guest, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand said, to free the nation from corruption, an ideology is a must. And Islam is the name of that great ideology, which is cherished by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The previous fascist government wanted to eliminate Jamaat, the flag-carrying organization of this ideology. They used the courts, tried false farces and killed Jamaat leaders, which will remain a heinous example in the history of the world. They wanted to end Jamaat-e-Islami forever through judicial killings without respecting the law. We want justice for this injustice. This injustice of the Awami League must be tried on the soil of Bangladesh. Demanding the release of former Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat ATM Azharul Islam, he said, ATM Azharul Islam has been sentenced completely unjustly by giving false testimony. He must be released immediately.

Among others, Netrokona District President of Bangladesh Khelafat Andolan Maulana Khairul Bashar, Netrokona District President of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Maulana Nurul Islam Hakimi, Netrokona District Secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Maulana Mazharul Islam, and others were present on the occasion.
