Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Porwar said that some people have started speaking in the language that the Awami League leaders used to speak. The smell of fascism is found in their speeches. He said that even though the fascist power has been defeated, the conspiracy against the country and Jamaat continues. If anyone steps on the path of fascism, they should also remember the consequences of the Awami fascists.
He said these things as the chief guest at a unit president conference organized by Feni district Jamaat at Al Jamiatul Falahia Madrasa ground in Feni on Saturday morning, January 18. The event was chaired by District Ameer Maulana Mufti Abdul Hannan and hosted by District Secretary Maulana Abdur Rahim. Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Maulana ATM Masum, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Comilla region team member Professor Liaqat Ali Bhuiyan, and former District Ameer AKM Shamsuddin were present in the program as special guests. The welcome address was delivered by Dhaka North city Jamaat Assistant Secretary and former Central President of Chhatra Shibir Dr. Fakhruddin Manik, Central Majlish-e-Shura member Advocate ASM Kamal Uddin, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and District Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Abu Yusuf, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and District's another Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Mahmudul Haque. At the beginning, Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Comilla region team member Maulana Alauddin presented Darsul Quran.
About eight thousand male and female leaders participated in the conference.
Professor Mia Golam Porwar further said that even after 53 years of independence, Bangladesh could not be freed from economic exploitation, political oppression and cultural slavery. There have been repeated changes in rulers and regimes, but the fate of the people has not changed. The people of the country were disoriented due to bribery, corruption and misrule. The ruling class has destroyed the country's economy by smuggling thousands of crores of taka abroad. It has created a huge gap between the rich and the poor and disrupted social security and order. By taking away the right to vote and holding elections day and night, Bangladesh's democracy has reached a low level in the eyes of the world. The fascist Awami League had imposed a false and fabricated history of the nation to make the new generation forget the genuine identity of the nation. He said that people were waiting for freedom everywhere, being victims of discrimination and deprivation. The people of the country are breathing a sigh of relief today due to the courageous and selfless role of the young generation on August 5. The new Bangladesh that we have achieved cannot be lost. Jamaat-e-Islami has been playing a necessary and responsible role in rebuilding Bangladesh through national unity.
He said, the fascist Awami League must be brought to justice. The Awami League's vote-rigging, money laundering, disappearances, murders, and looting in the name of development in the past 16 years will be marked as a rare event in the history of the world. Just as the people of the country do not want Awami fascists, they also do not want someone new to run the country in a fascist manner. The people of the country want a real change; where they can live with self-respect, comfort, and security. Jamaat-e-Islami is working to build such a new Bangladesh. It has continued to work to eliminate discrimination in all fields. He urged the countrymen to stand by Jamaat-e-Islami in building a Bangladesh free from hunger, poverty, and discrimination.
Maulana ATM Masum said, Awami regime was the heinous part of the history. The nation has been liberated from that hateful ignorance through the August Revolution. He strongly demanded that the current interim government preserve the correct history of the August Revolution in a proper manner. He said that Bangladesh must come forward unitedly to build a country without discrimination. Everyone must be careful that no counter-revolution can destroy this revolution.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatrashibir have been the victims of the most oppression in this country. Every one of our offices was closed. Jamaat was banned before its fall. Allah has banned them forever.
Professor Liaqat Ali Bhuiyan said that if the leadership cannot be elected on the basis of Islam, the people of this country will have to give their lives and blood again. Peace will not come. They will have to vote for Islam for peace. Stating that if Jamaat-e-Islami gets the responsibility of running the country, not a single taka of corruption will occur, he said that Jamaat-e-Islami will truly establish Bangladesh as a role model in the world.
