Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, the 12^th national election is going to be held shortly. The incumbent fascist government has no respect towards the public views. The government is afraid of the people’s mandate. So, they are mulling to hold another farcical election like 2014 and 2018. They are reshuffling the administration accordingly. We want to assert that the people will not accept any staged election this time. The countrymen want a free, fair and credible election so that they can have their desired government this time. To hold such an election, there is no alternative but a caretaker government.

Acting Ameer said this while addressing a conference of the Associate Members organized by Jessore west organizational district Jamaat-e-Islami. District Ameer Maulana Habibur Rahman presided over the conference which was hosted by the district Secretary.

He said, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is working to establish a welfare state and a pro-people government. We have to work more to fulfil these targets. The positivity of Islam should be presented in front of the people. We have to extend assistance and cooperation during the crises of the people. If we can attain people’s love and trust, that will facilitate our victory in the next election.

Special guest of the event was Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain. He said, vote is a sacred trust. So, we should not cast our votes for the dishonest people. We have to be accountable to Allah in this regard. Jamaat is preparing fearful, honest, qualified, skilled and patriot people by the grace of Almighty Allah. Let us, we cast our votes for the right ones and establish Bangladesh as a happy, prosperous and corruption-free country.

Among others, Jamaat’s central working committee member Maulana Azizur Rahman, Maulana Aarshadul Alam, Upazila Ameer Maulana Golam Morshed, Sharsha Upazila Ameer Faruq Hossain, Jhikorgacha Upazila Ameer Professor Harunur Rashid and Benapol port Ameer Rezaul Karim addressed the conference.
