Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 11th December, 2016 urging to observe Martyr Intellectual Day with due significance.   14th December is Martyr Intellectual Day. This day has huge importance and significance. The intellectuals, who had sacrificed their lives, the nation is remembering them with due honor. These intellectualss will be remembered always for their outstanding contributions and optimum sacrifices.    I am urging all wings and front organizations of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to observe this day with due significance by holding prayer and discussion programs.
