The incumbent tyrannical regime will be dethroned through massive movement

- Maulana ATM Masum

Acting Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana ATM Masum has issued the following statement on 4th December 2022 protesting and condemning the police raid and arrests of 12 leaders and activists of Jessore district Jamaat-e-Islami including Jessore district Ameer Md. Abu Jafor.

In the last two days, police have carried out raids in various offices and houses of Jessore district and cities and arrested 12 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami including Jessore district Ameer Md. Abu Jafor. Several houses and other establishments have been vandalized. We are condemning such fascist activities of the government.

When the countrymen are agitating movement against the government’s unlimited corruption, looting, and fascist activities, at that time, the government is arresting and harassing the Jamaat leaders and activists in connection with some false cases in order to divert the public attention from aforesaid anomalies. By continuing raids, a panicky situation has been created nationwide. We want to assert that, by lodging cases and harassment, the ongoing movement will never be subdued. The incumbent tyrannical regime will be dethroned through massive movement.

I am urging the concerned authorities to release all detained leaders and activists including Jessore district Jamaat Ameer Abu Jafor immediately.
