Central Publicity Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and party’s central executive committee member Matiur Rahman Akanda has issued the following statement on 21 October 2020 protesting and gainsaying the false commentary titled “জামায়াত আওয়ামী লীগের ভেতরে ট্রয়ের ঘোড়া”  (Jamaat: Troy’s Horse within Awami League) published in Daily Janakantha.

A commentary titled “জামায়াত আওয়ামী লীগের ভেতরে ট্রয়ের ঘোড়া” written by Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury in Daily Janakantha on 21st October. Whatever he said in his article is far away from reality, concocted and a continuation of the hate campaign against Jamaat-e-Islami.

Jamaat-e-Islami is an organization based on Islamic ideology. Jamaat conveys Islamic sermon to the people of all spheres. Jamaat has secured a strong position in the hearts of the people due to its Dawat program. And this is why, people like Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury have become reckless and they are spreading propaganda against Jamaat-e-Islami. Jamaat has no connection with the alleged incidents like infiltration or to get married with the influential families. Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury has used some languages and words in this commentary which is inconsistent and irrelevant with his columnist status. I am condemning his false and indecent comments and allegations against Jamaat-e-Islami.
