Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has issued the following statement on 27 May 2020 seeking quickest recovery of Gonoshasthaya Kendra and Trustee Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury.

“The founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury has been infected by coronavirus. He and his organization worked hard extremely to develop the test kit to detect coronavirus. He was also affected by this virus. The countries of Europe and America have approved these kits to diagnosis coronavirus test. But the government of Bangladesh is still hesitant about such approval. The people want to know why the government is not allowing them to do such diagnosis?

I am praying to Allah for the quickest recovery of Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury.
