Jamaat Ameer urges to observe National Revolution and solidarity Day on 7 November

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmad has issued the following statement on 5 November 2019 to observe National Revolution and Solidarity Day on next 7 November.

“National Revolution and Solidarity day is going to be observed on 7 November. The day has great significance in our national lives. On this day of 1975, our soldiers and people became united to resist all conspiracies and successfully protected and preserved our independence and sovereignty.

This time, the nation is going to observe the day in such a period when there is no existence of democracy and rule of law in the country. People have lost their rights to cast votes. To free the nation from this suffocating situation there is no alternative but launching a broad base and combined movement. The countrymen will protect the independence and sovereignty of this country once again upholding the spirit of 7 November.

I am urging all the wings and front organizations of Jamaat-e-Islami to arrange prayer and discussion program, emphasizing on the significance of National revolution and solidarity day. I am also seeking the assistance of my fellow countrymen to make these programs successful.
