German Ambassador in Dhaka pays a courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer

Today, 13 January (Tuesday), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman held a courtesy meeting with the German Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Rüdiger Lotz. The meeting and breakfast session took place at 9:00 a.m. at Jamaat Ameer's office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. He was accompanied by the Embassy’s Political and Press Officer, Sharlina Nuzhat Kabir. The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

During the meeting, it was noted that the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election is extremely important for Bangladesh. Germany’s cooperation and technical assistance were sought to ensure that the election is held in a free, fair, and credible manner. At the same time, expectations were expressed for Germany’s continued support in protecting the rights of Bangladeshi women, enhancing workplace skills, and promoting overall development.

The meeting also featured constructive discussions on the need to further strengthen sustainable democracy and democratic institutions in Bangladesh. Both sides expressed optimism that bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Bangladesh and Germany would gain further momentum in the future.

On behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, party’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, and Jamaat Ameer's advisor on Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present at that time.
