On 12 January (Monday) at 9:00 a.m., the Honorable Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr. Yao Wen, paid a courtesy visit to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his office in Bashundhara in the capital.

Accompanying the Ambassador were Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Dr. Liu Yuyin, Political Director Mr. Zhangjing, Mr. Rucky (Ru Qi), and Ms. Nafisa (Liang Shuyin). The meeting was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.

During the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador and the Jamaat Ameer discussed various issues of mutual interest to the two countries. The historic friendship between China and Bangladesh has been playing a very important role in the welfare of the people of both countries, development cooperation, mutual trade, and cultural exchange. They expressed optimism that this relationship would become even stronger in the future.

On behalf of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, party’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, educationist Dr. Zubair Ahmed, Development Team Lead Mr. Dewan Alamgir, and Jamaat Ameer’s advisor on Foreign Affairs Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were present on the occasion.
