On 25 November (Tuesday) at 4:15 PM, visiting former Health Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Professor Dr. Rifat Latifi met with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, in a courtesy call at his office in Bashundhara, Dhaka. His Excellency Mr. Lulzim Plana, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Bangladesh, was also present at the time.

At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Dr. Rifat Latifi inquired about the health condition of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and wished him a full recovery. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of great cordiality and warmth.

During the discussion, Jamaat Ameer held discussions about the health sector of Bangladesh and urged the Government of Kosovo, through the former Health Minister, to provide training and fellowship opportunities for Bangladeshi physicians.

Among others, member of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Principal Muhammad Shahabuddin, General Secretary of the National Doctors Forum (NDF) Professor Dr. Mahmud Hossain; Senior Vice President of NDF Dr. A.K.M. Wali Ullah; its Office Secretary Dr. Ziaul Haque; and President of NDF Dhaka City North Dr. S.M. Khaliduzzaman were present on the occasion.
