Today, 21 November (Friday), at 3 p.m., a reception was organized at Senakunja in Dhaka Cantonment on behalf of the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus, on the occasion of Armed Forces Day. A five-member delegation led by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman attended the event.
The delegation also included the party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Maulana ANM Shamsul Islam, Assistant Secretary General and former lawmaker Dr Hamidur Rahman Azad, Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, and Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair.
At the reception, they exchanged greetings and held courtesy meetings with the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government, Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus; BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia; the chiefs of the three armed services; ambassadors, high commissioners, and diplomats of various countries stationed in Bangladesh; political leaders; retired military officers; senior government officials; and distinguished members of civil society.
