-Mia Golam Porwar

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar said that over the past few days, Awami fascists have been creating anarchy and terrorism across the country. The terrorists, looters, mass murderers, and killers can never return to this land again. The nation has already resisted them, and even today they have failed to reestablish themselves here.

He made these remarks at a press conference held today, November 13, at 12:30 PM at Jamaat’s central office, organized to protest the arson terrorism, vandalism, and chaos created by the fascist Awami League and its cohorts.

Among others, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Executive Council Member Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Dhaka South City Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dhaka North City Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa, Dhaka South City Nayeb-e-Ameer Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, and Dhaka North City Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim were present during the press conference.

The event was hosted by Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair.

Mia Golam Porwar further said, “Sheikh Hasina is using all Indian media outlets to threaten Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor and others, which has astonished us. Those who have committed crimes and injustices will never again be accepted by the nation. The verdict date of their cases has already been announced.” He called upon the nation to remain united on various fundamental issues.

He also said, “Along with Jamaat, eight political parties have announced programs demanding the implementation of the five-point agenda. Today, in protest against the sabotage by the Awami League, we are holding rallies and processions across the country. We are present on the ground. They have tried to create panic nationwide by launching attacks, setting fire to buses, vehicles, and institutions, and throwing cocktails. But we, together with the people, have stood firm against these acts of sabotage.”

Mia Golam Porwar stated, “The July Charter must be promulgated immediately. After that, a referendum should be held on the July Charter. We hope the Chief Advisor will meet with Jamaat and the eight-party alliance and take steps to resolve the current political crisis.” He also congratulated the announcement of the date of verdict in the case filed against Sheikh Hasina.

In response to Jamaat’s call, protest marches were held in Dhaka South City’s Paltan, Gulistan, Zero Point, Press Club, North Gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque, Science Lab, Jatrabari intersection, and in front of Dhanmondi 32. In Dhaka North City, rallies took place in Mirpur 10 and 11, Aminbazar, Moghbazar, Bhatara, Rampura, Khilkhet, Mohakhali, Mohammadpur, Uttara, Malibagh, and Banglamotor areas, among others.

At the end of the press conference, Mr. Golam Porwar thanked the journalists for their presence and urged them to continue playing their responsible role in safeguarding national interests.
