On Wednesday, 12 November at 12:00 noon, a meeting was held between a delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at Jamaat’s central office.
The IMF delegation was led by Advisor to the Bangladesh Mission Chief, Mr. Chris Papageorgiou. He was accompanied by IMF’s Resident Representative in Dhaka, Mr. Maxim Krischko; Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Ivo Kreznar; and Economic Analyst, Mr. Tawhid Elahi.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami delegation included Central Executive Committee Member, Md. Mobarak Hossain; Distinguished Educationist Dr. Abdur Rab and Mohammad Shafiullah.
During the meeting, discussions were held on Bangladesh’s sustainable economy, existing financial sectors, the taxation system, and different aspects of the social sector.
