To prepare a “consensus framework” on the electoral structure, implementation of the July Declaration, and national referendum, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has formed a two-member committee to engage in discussions with various political parties.
The committee was formed by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman following a discussion on the current political situation during a meeting of the Central Executive Committee held on 4 November evening at the party’s central office under his chairmanship.
The members of the committee are, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and former member of Parliament Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher and Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and former member of Parliament Dr. Hamidur Rahman Azad.
