On 20 October (Monday) at 10 a.m., a six-member delegation of the Women’s Wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, led by the Women’s Affairs Secretary Principal Nurunnisa Siddika, held a courtesy meeting with Ms. Baiba Zarina, Deputy Chief of the European Union Delegation in Dhaka, at the EU office upon her invitation.

The delegation included Jamaat's Central Working Committee Member and Political Secretary Professor Dr. Habiba Akhtar Chowdhury, Central Working Committee Member and Secretary for Human Resources, Law, and Human Rights Advocate Sabikun Nahar Munni, Central Working Committee Member and Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Ayesha Siddika Parveen, Central Working Committee Member and Secretary of Dhaka City North Sufia Jamal, ; and Member of the Advisory Council of Dhaka City South Assistant Professor Laila Mariam.

During the meeting, both sides held an open discussion on the prevailing political situation in Bangladesh, women’s participation in politics, protection of women’s rights, enhancement of women’s professional skills, and the positive role of women in the overall development of the country.
