Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman left Dhaka at 11:00 a.m. today, 19 October, for the Holy City of Makkah to perform Umrah. At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, he was seen off by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar; Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim and Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair; and member of the Central Executive Council and Ameer of Dhaka City North Md. Selim Uddin.

After performing the holy Umrah, the Jamaat Ameer will visit the United States and the United Kingdom. He is scheduled to return to Dhaka in the first week of November, Insha’Allah.
