A high-level four-member delegation led by the Honorable A. Beris Ekinci, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, along with the Honorable Ambassador of Turkey to Bangladesh, Mr. Ramis Sen, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.
The meeting took place today, Monday (6 October), at 3:30 p.m. at the office of the Ameer of Jamaat located in Bashundhara, Dhaka. The discussion was held in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere.
During the meeting, both sides discussed important issues including strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Turkey, expanding trade and commerce, increasing investment, enhancing humanitarian cooperation, and improving diplomatic ties. They also held constructive exchanges regarding the prospects of increasing Turkish investment in various sectors in Bangladesh and deepening the brotherly relations between the two nations.
Both sides expressed optimism that the pace of development and progress in both countries would further accelerate in the future.
Along with Jamaat Ameer, party’s Secretary General and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Porwar, and Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair were present during the meeting.
