The Honorable Ambassador of Brazil to Bangladesh, Mr. Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting was held today, Wednesday (October 1), at 12:00 noon at the Ameer’s office in Bashundhara, Dhaka.
The meeting took place in a very cordial and friendly atmosphere. At the beginning of the meeting, the Honorable Ambassador inquired about the health condition of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and wished him a full recovery.
During the meeting, there was an open discussion on bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Brazil, cooperation, development, and various matters of mutual interest. The Brazilian side reaffirmed its strong support for Bangladesh in the future. Both parties also expressed optimism that relations between the two countries would be further strengthened in the days to come.
Assistant Secretary General of the organization and Head of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair, Central Executive Council member Mobarak Hossain, and the Ameer’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, were also present at the meeting.
