The three-day international dialogue titled “Stakeholders’ Dialogue: Takeaway to the High-Level Conference on the Rohingya Situation” began in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday, 24 August. On Monday, 25 August, the Honorable Chief Advisor formally inaugurated the dialogue at Hotel Bay Watch.
At the inaugural ceremony, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar delivered an important speech. He expressed his views on the persecution inflicted upon the Rohingya people in Myanmar, their forced displacement, and the need for a sustainable solution to the ongoing crisis.
Alongside this, Professor Mia Golam Porwar made a strong appeal to the United Nations and the international community to ensure the peaceful repatriation of the Rohingyas, also to guarantee their security, and safeguard their livelihoods.
