Meeting held between visiting Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Ishaq Dar and the Jamaat leaders

A five-member delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami held a meeting with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Ishaq Dar, who is currently visiting Dhaka, on 23 August (Saturday) afternoon at the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka. The meeting was held in a very cordial and sincere atmosphere.

Pakistan’s Honorable High Commissioner Mr. Imran Haider and officials of the High Commission were also present during the meeting.

The Jamaat-e-Islami delegation included the party’s Nayeb-e-Ameer, and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher; Secretary General, and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar; Assistant Secretary Generals Maulana ATM Masum and Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair; and central executive committee member, and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department, Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda.

During the meeting, they discussed the prevailing situation in Bangladesh as well as the development and progress of both countries. It was expressed with optimism that the two states would work together in the future for bilateral development and advancement.

It is to be noted that tomorrow, on 24 August (Sunday) at 2:00 PM, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will visit Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at his residence.
