Meeting of the Implementation Committee for the ‘National Rally’ held

Make the historic ‘National Rally’ on 19 July successful

A meeting of the Implementation Committee was held today. This committee was formed to ensure the successful and orderly organization of the historic ‘National Rally’ scheduled for Saturday, 19 July at 2:00 PM at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital Dhaka, to meet the 7-point demand of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

The meeting took place on Tuesday, 15 July, at 10:00 AM at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. It was presided over by Secretary General and former Member of Parliament, Professor Mia Golam Porwar. Among others, Assistant Secretary General and head of the Central Media and Publicity Department, Advocate Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair; Central Executive Committee member Principal Md. Shahabuddin; Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka City South, Nurul Islam Bulbul; Central Executive Committee member and Ameer of Dhaka City North, Mohammad Selim Uddin; President of Islamic Dawah Circle Malaysia, Professor Saifullah Mansur; Secretary of Dhaka City South Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud; Secretary of Dhaka City North Dr. Rezaul Karim; Assistant Secretaries of Dhaka City North, Dr. Fakhruddin Manik and Mr. Md. Yasin Arafat; Assistant Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Kamal Hossain; General Secretary of Bangladesh Sramik Kollan Federation Advocate Atikur Rahman; and CEO of IRD, Mr. Monowarul Islam attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the progress of all-out preparations for the National Rally and adopted the following decisions:

1. All technical arrangements including stage setup, sound system, banners, and digital displays will be completed before 18 July.
2. Volunteer teams will be assigned with specific responsibilities and deployed on the ground to assist the gathered people in every possible way.
3. Seating arrangements for participants, provision of pure drinking water, sanitation facilities, medical services, and adequate entry and exit points will be ensured.
4. Coordination with law enforcement agencies will be made to manage traffic and security effectively.
5. The media sub-committee has been instructed to work more actively to disseminate the rally’s message through conventional and social media platforms.
During the meeting, Professor Mia Golam Porwar stated that the people’s uprising of 2024, achieved through immense sacrifices by students and the public, holds great significance in national life. To honor the aspirations of July-August and pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is going to organize this rally to restore a proper democratic order in the country. Inspired by the journey to establish democracy, I earnestly call upon the patriotic people of the country and the manpower all wings and front organizations of Jamaat-e-Islami to participate massively in the National Rally.
