Jamaat Ameer meets outgoing German ambassador

On June 19, at 11:30 am, the Honorable Ambassador of the German Embassy in Dhaka, Mr. Achim Troster, paid a courtesy call on Jamaat Ameer Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. The meeting was held in a very sincere and cordial atmosphere.

During the meeting, Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman mentioned that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami is playing an effective role in building a meaningful democracy in the country, a corruption-free society and administration by establishing a society based on justice and fairness for solving economic problems, and developing future citizens through bringing changes in the education system. He expressed hope that the commercial and bilateral relations between Germany and Bangladesh will be more prosperous and dynamic in the future.

The Honorable Ambassador emphasized the importance of meaningful democracy, stability, economic progress, and climate development in Bangladesh. He said that democracy is not established by killing people. An accommodating mentality is needed for democracy.

The meeting was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Executive Council member ATM Azharul Islam, Central Executive Council member and Secretary of the Central Publicity and Media Department Adv. Matiur Rahman Akanda, and Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Jamaat Ameer Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan.
