On Saturday morning, May 24, the six-monthly session of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Central Majlish-e-Shura was held at the Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka, under the chairmanship of Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer, Acting Secretary General, Assistant Secretary Generals, central leaders and members of the Central Majlish-e-Shura (men and women) were present on the occasion. The session began at 9 am and continued till evening.

In his concluding speech, Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the country is going through a very difficult crisis. Jamaat-e-Islami held an emergency meeting of the Central Executive Council on the afternoon of May 22 to find a way out of this crisis in the country and discussed it in detail and called on the chief advisor of the interim government to call an all-party meeting.

He also said that all the anti-fascist parties in the country have assured the interim government of extending their full cooperation in the current situation. Jamaat-e-Islami has consulted and exchanged views with like-minded parties in this regard. I sincerely appeal to the people of all walks of life, regardless of party or opinion, to play a responsible and sensible role in maintaining the stability of the country and to pray to the Almighty Allah.

He said that in order to restore the trust of the people and maintain the stability of the country, it is necessary to make necessary reforms, to assure a visible trial of fascist forces and also to declare the electoral roadmaps very quickly. If the elections are not free and fair, the nation will again face a deep crisis. Therefore, the necessary reforms must be completed before the elections. Insha Allah, the country will be able to overcome the crisis based on the sincere cooperation and advice of all the stakeholders in the country.

He called upon the party leaders not to get involved in any kind of wrongdoings. In addition to giving time to the work of the organization, we should pay special attention to the family. Children should be raised as noble kids. There should be transparency in transactions. Our main strength is to keep trust in Allah. We should complete every task having the fear of Allah and the sense of accountability.
