On 22nd May, Thursday at afternoon, an emergency meeting of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held at party's central office under the chairmanship of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The members of the Central Executive Council were present in the meeting. The overall situation of the country was discussed in detail during the meeting.

From the meeting, Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman called on Honorable Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus to immediately call an all-party meeting to overcome the current situation, prevailing in the country.
