Briefing the journalists, Professor Mia Golam Porwar said, Jamaat-e-Islami has been emphasizing reforms for a fair, free and impartial election. Our Ameer and other leaders have been repeatedly saying to complete the necessary reforms and hold a meaningful election quickly. An idea has been presented to the nation by the interim government regarding the timing of the election. We did not disagree with it. Today, we have presented our views on five issues. We could not agree with the commission's proposal in some cases; on the other hand, we agreed on many issues. We have presented our positions with clear and detailed explanations. We put emphasis on the proportional representation election. We hope that the interim government will start working to complete the reforms and hold a meaningful election as soon as possible.
