Former U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh, William B. Milam, and former U.S. Deputy Ambassador, John Danilovich, met with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the party's central office at 11.30 in the morning on March 10. The meeting was also attended by Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher.

The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere. During the discussion, they exchanged warm greetings and engaged in an open conversation about the overall situation in Bangladesh, particularly regarding the establishment of democracy after the August Revolution, elections, human rights, and various bilateral issues of mutual interest. They expressed optimism that the existing relationship between Bangladesh and the United States would strengthen further in the future.
