On Saturday, December 21, at 11 am, the Namaj-e-Janaja (funeral prayer) of senior lawyer AFM Hasan Arif, and advisor to the Ministry of Land, Civil Aviation and Tourism of the interim government, was held at the Inner Garden of the Supreme Court.

The funeral was attended by a large number of devotees and politicians including Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar, Central Executive Council Member Mubarak Hossain, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dhaka City South Jamaat-e-Islami Advocate Dr. Helal Uddin, learned lawyers of the country, leaders of different political parties and people from other sections and professions.
