Sheikh Hasina, even after fleeing, is conspiring from abroad to create instability in the country, claims Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP, Professor Mia Golam Parwar. However, he urged the people of the country to remain united and also to thwart all their conspiracies.
After the August Revolution, in the past three months, the ousted Sheikh Hasina wants to return to power through another counter-revolution. We will confront this evil force based on the national consensus of August 5, he said. Mia Golam Parwar said, “A search committee has been formed for the purpose of forming an Election Commission. However, before a free, fair, inclusive, and impartial election, some key reforms are needed in the state. Without fundamental reforms in the judiciary, the executive, the constitution, and the administration, it will not be possible to move forward.” He made these comments during a view exchanging meeting with journalists on Sunday (November 10) morning at the Humayun Kabir Balu Auditorium of the Khulna Press Club.
At the meeting, Khulna Press Club Convenor Enamul Haque, Member Secretary Rofiul Islam Tutul, Central working Committee Member of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Khulna Region’s assistant coordinator Director Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Regional Team Member Master Shafiqur Alam, Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and Khulna City Ameer Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and Khulna District Ameer Maulana Emran Hossain, Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and City Secretary Advocate Sheikh Jahangir Hossain Helal, District Secretary Munshi Mizanur Rahman, City Assistant Secretary Advocate Shah Alam, District Assistant Secretary Professor Mia Golam Kuddus, Khulna City Chhatrashibir President Arafat Hossain Milan, District Chhatrashibir President Belal Hossain Riyad, City Sramik Kollan Federation President Azizul Islam Faraji, and City’s Chhatrashibir Secretary SM Nurullah were present.
Later, Secretary General handed over three lakh taka to the club officials for the development of the damaged Khulna Press Club to the club’s officials.
Professor Mia Golam Parwar became disturbed and shocked to see the way the miscreants had attacked an institution like the Khulna Press Club, which is above political affiliations. He mentioned that the process for implementing a major government-funded project for the overall development of the Khulna Press Club is underway. He said, “This project, which is worth nearly 50 crore taka, is in the approval stage, and I am providing full cooperation and guidance to the interim committee of the Press Club from my side. If this project is implemented, I will be proud as a former member of the Khulna Press Club.” He praised the efforts of the Press Club's Convenor Enamul Haque, Member Secretary Rofiul Islam Tutul, and other committee members, especially the activities of Club Secretary Rofiul Islam Tutul.
He further stated, “Sheikh Hasina, after fleeing, is conspiring by releasing audio-video recordings. The fascist party has been trying tried to create instability across the country. The threats of the fascist forces to block the entrances to the capital have been thwarted by the administration and the people, especially by the students. He said, no matter how much they conspire from abroad, spread lies, or try to create unrest by spreading propaganda, we are hopeful. The people of Bangladesh have recognized fascism, the fascist party, and even the mastermind of fascism. The people of this country will never accept them again.” He called on the people of the country to stay in the streets and said, “Like the students and the people, you too should guard the streets day and night.”
He also accused a group, both domestically and abroad, of attempting to spread the narrative that religious minorities in Bangladesh are not safe. He stated that their conspiracies to create instability during the Puja festival is still going on. He claimed that propaganda against Jamaat-Shibir was spread in an attempt to tarnish their image. The group had falsely claimed that people from other religions would not be safe if the Awami League was not in power, but they failed in their efforts.
