Secretary General holds program with Hindu community in Dumuria; urges for building a discrimination free society

Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former Member of Parliament Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, “Following the historic revolution of the students and the mass people, a society based on equality and communal harmony must be established to move the country towards meaningful stability and development. We want to build a fascism-free country. The individuals in the past fascist government, along with party-backed armed terrorists, have created out a reign of terror in the country. They must be brought to justice immediately and given exemplary punishment. The rule of law must be established in every sector, and the fundamental rights of every citizen must be ensured. Officials who supported the corruptions of the past government must be removed and replaced with honest, efficient, and professional officials. We must recover the looted money, which had been illegally transferred abroad by the fascists, and bring it back to strengthen the country’s economy.”

He continued, “The interim government is working towards establishing good governance in the country. Fascist allies are making efforts to disrupt the peaceful environment of the country. We must all remain vocal, irrespective of religion or caste, to prevent the conspirators from undermining the victory of the students and the people. I urge everyone to remain united and play a role in dealing with any untoward situation.

He made these comments as the chief guest at a meeting and discussion held in Dumuria under Khulna District. Dumuria Upazila Jamaat organized this program with Hindu community members. The meeting was chaired by Dumuria Upazila Ameer Maulana Moktar Hossain. Khulna district Jamaat Ameer Maulana Emran Hossain, District’s Assistant Secretary Munshi Moinul Islam, and Professor Mia Golam Kuddus were present in the program as the special guests.
