Dhaka North City Jamaat organized view exchange meeting with thousands of martyr family members

Jamaat wants a corruption-free Bangladesh to materialize the dreams of July revolution martyrs

Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, "Jamaat wants to build a corruption-free and humanitarian Bangladesh to materialize the dreams of the martyrs of July and August." This country lost its way through the brutal killings of 28th October, 2006. Since then, the young and wayward nation have been fighting to liberate the nation and finally we became free on 5th August, 2024.

He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the exchange meeting with the family members of the martyrs and the injured from October 28, 2006 to August 5, 2024, organized by the Dhaka North City Jamaat-e-Islami at the Bangladesh- China Friendship Conference Center in the capital today, Sunday, October 27. Dhaka North City Ameer and Jamaat's Central Executive Council member Mohammad Selim Uddin presided over the program which was hosted by Jamaat's central working council member and Dhaka North City Secretary Dr. Rezaul Karim. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman and Dr. Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General respectively - Maulana ATM Masum, Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, A.H.M. Hamidur Rahman Azad and Maulana Abdul Halim, Central Publicity and Media Secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akand,a central executive council members Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Md. Abdur Rob, Dhaka South City Ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul and Md. Mubarak Hossain were present in the program as the special guests.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman called for inclusion of history of fascism and massacre in textbooks which have been carried out by Awami League from October 28, 2006 to August 5, 2024.

He said, "The family members of the martyrs should be thanked by giving at least one job according to their merit. Those who fought against fascism should be given priority in employment. He called upon the anti-fascist parties to stand by these victim families.

Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher said, “October 28 was the first rehearsal for the establishment of fascism. Our sons have given their blood and their lives, yet they have not accepted defeat. We will use the change that happened on August 5 to reach our goal.”

Professor Mia Golam Parwar said, “Martyrs do not die but are always alive. The names of the martyrs of our August Revolution will be written in golden letters on the pages of history. They will be rewarded in this world and the hereafter.” He called upon all to stand united against the conspiracies of the fascist forces.”

BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed, Labor Party Chairman Dr. Mostafizar Rahman Iran, LDP secretary general Redwan Ahmad, General Secretary of Gana Adhikar Parishad Rashed Khan, Jagpa Spokesperson and Vice President Rashed Pradhan, Convener of 12 Party Alliance and former Minister Mustafa Jamal Haider, NPP President Advocate Fariduzzaman Farhad, Secretary General of Khilafat Majlish Dr. Ahmad Abdul Quader and leaders from other political parties also spoke on the occasion as the special guests.

BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, “There has been a demand to ban Awami League. This is the demand of the people. Whether Awami League has the right to do politics again after the recent mass killings, will be decided by the people's court. The people and the courts will decide whether the genocidal party can do politics or not. Attempts are being made to create a constitutional crisis. Care must be taken to avoid constitutional crisis as it may pave the way for fascism to come back.

Mr. Ali Ahmad Mabrur, the son of former Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former minister, shaheed Ali Ahsan Muhammad Mujahid (RA), Mr. Masood Sayedee, the son of Allama Delawar Hossain Sayedee (RA), and family members of several martyrs of the July revolution, gave speech in the program.

Diplomats from several countries, heads of various political parties, leaders of various social and professional organizations and thousands of family members of martyrs and half a thousand injured persons were present at the exchange meeting.
