Secretary General meets the victim families in Magura

Magura district Jamaat-e-Islami organized a view exchanging meeting with the family of the martyrs who have lost their nearest family members during the recent student movement. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar spoke as the chief guest in this program. Jamaat’s central executive council member and Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator Mobarak Hossain was present in the program as the special guest. Besides, Khulna city Jamaat Ameer Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Khulna District Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Professor Mia Golam Quddus, Magura District Nayeb-e-Ameer Hafez Maulana Liaqat Ali and others also spoke in the exchange meeting.

Mia Golam Parwar said, “We have spoken to about 1000 relatives from all over Bangladesh and heard their pain and sorrows. We cannot remove the pain of losing their relatives. But we can be a little sharer of their sufferings. We are trying our best. The whole country is remembering you today for your martyred children. Allah has increased your dignity and honor. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami will always by the side your families. We will support you in all occasions, Insha'Allah.

Jamaat-e-Islami is engaged in the work of building a happy and prosperous Bangladesh. We want to build a society free from exploitation and discrimination regardless of caste and religion. We call upon you to fully cooperate with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in building a hunger and poverty-free Bangladesh.”

Mubarak Hossain said, “We could not sleep peacefully for 15 years. Thousands of our leaders and workers have been subjected to inhuman torture. Today we have got a peaceful environment and thanks to the mass revolution of the students. Abu Saeed, Mughdho and many others like them sacrificed their precious lives to achieve our second freedom. So, we should honor and remember them properly.

The disabled victims should be rehabilitated by the state. The families of martyrs are helpless today. It is the moral responsibility of 17 crore people of the country to stand by their side. From such responsibility, we came to Magura. We are trying to go to every family of the martyrs across the country and inquire about them. By the infinite mercy of the Almighty, we will continue to extend help to all of them.
