Bangladesh Jamaat Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that the countrymen do not want to see any oppressive government in power again. In the past, money has been looted in the name of river dredging and other naval activities. It will not be allowed to happen again. All must work together to establish peace among people of all walks of life irrespective of caste and religion. He prayed to the Almighty to accept those as martyrs who sacrificed their lives to overthrow the dictatorial Hasina government.
He said these things while visiting various flood affected areas in Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar on 24th August, 2024. At this time relief was distributed among 150 flood victim families.

They came to power and committed the Pilkhana massacre and indiscriminately killed the smart officers of Bangladesh Army. The government thought the Jamaat was finished after executing its top leaders through the so-called 'International Crimes Tribunal'. According to such masterplan, they killed our the then Ameer and Secretary General on the basis of some false charges. But by the grace of Allah and the prayers of the countrymen, Jamaat has now become a very strong and self-reliant party. The students of this country have freed the countrymen from Awami misrule by overthrowing the fascist government.
