Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman visited the offices of East West Media Group PLC located in the Bashundhara residential area of the capital Dhaka, which was attacked by miscreants.

He was welcomed by the officials present at that time. He visited various parts of the media building and vehicles, which had been damaged in the attack by the miscreants.

Bashundhara Group officials and staff were present during the visit. He became shocked and saddened to see the destruction and condemned the incident. He opined that following the recent uprising, an opportunistic group have emerged to destabilize the country. They might have launched such a cowardly attack to question the success of the mass agitation. He demanded that the attackers be identified and brought under the law quickly and given fair trial.
