Central Working Committee's meeting held

Rule of law, justice, freedom of speech and rights to hold assembly have been taken away, alleges Jamaat Ameer

-Dr. Shafiqur Rahman

A meeting of the central working committee of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami was held with party’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman in the chair. Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Porwar hosted the meeting. Addressing the program Jamaat Ameer said, we became able to hold a full and comprehensive meeting of the central working committee after long days, by the grace of Almighty Allah. So, we all are humbly uttering Alhamdulillah.

I would like to recall former Jamaat Ameer Professor Ghulam Azam and former Jamaat Ameer and former minister Shaheed Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami, Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana AKM Yousuf, Professor AKM Nazir Ahmed, Maulana Abdus Subhan and Allama Delwar Hossain Sayedee, former Secretary General and former minister Shaheed Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid, former Assistant Secretary General Shaheed Muhammad Kamaruzzaman and Shaheed Abdul Quader Molla and central executive committee’s former member Shaheed Mir Quasem Ali. May Allah accept all of them as martyrs and bless them with Jannah.

Jamaat Ameer said, as the central working committee member, you are the guardian of this organization and also the key role player in building this nation. Bangladesh is passing a crucial time now. All state institutions have been destroyed. Rule of law, justice, human rights, freedom of speech and rights to hold assembly have been taken away. All financial institutions have been ruined. Banking sector have been collapsed due to unprecedented looting and mismanagement. Industry, business, foreign investment and employment situation came into a standstill situation. The government is taking loans from foreign and other sources to run the country. National economy is severely collapsed now.

Judiciary is the last resort for the people in this world. But the people are getting deprived from getting justice. The government is implicating opponent political leaders in various political cases and sentencing them by using the judicial institutions.

There is no electoral system in the country now. The parliamentary elections of 2014, 2018, 2024 and the local government elections and recently held Upazila elections have marred with fake voting, rigging, capturing voting centers. The government has turned the country into nation without election.

Under the circumstances, if we want to protect the country and the people then there is no alternative but building the nation. I am urging the working committee members to play active role for the betterment of the nation. People have to be made aware of the situation. We have to save us, our families, neighbors, society and the nation from the hellfire.

We have to work for the general masses as it increases public support. We want to see effective changes in a systematic and democratic way. We can go for comprehensive changes by expanding welfare activities. Massive changes have been brought in our education curriculum. Immoral education is leading our youth toward destruction. So, as a guardian we have to undertake effective steps to protect our future generations from immorality and negative cultures.

Jamaat Ameer said, the incumbent government has executed our top leaders to destroy the leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami. They thought that such a repression would create a leadership vacuum and Jamaat will ultimately be perished through torture and repression. But their plans have not been succeeded. Their tortures and oppressions made Jamaat stronger. The central working committee have to play effective and dynamic role to expedite the organizational activities in the upcoming days.
