Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said, we are expressing deep gratitude to Almighty Allah as He made us capable to arrange this event successfully despite many obstructions and barriers. Whoever have attended this event, I would like to welcome. I am grateful to you for your presence. He said this while addressing an Iftar program at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka Ballroom. Jamaat-e-Islami organized this program.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, Almighty Allah revealed the holy Quran in this month. This month is very significant. The month is blessed with the Qadar night. Almighty Allah has completed His guidance and blessings for the humanity. The war of Badar took place in this month. The holy Prophet (peace be upon Him) has come in this world as the mercy for the universe. The Prophet (pbuH) finally became compelled to migrate to Madina because of the torture and suppression and after 7 years of this migration, He finally entered Makkah as victorious. He is the last Prophet and no Prophet will come after Him.
May Allah accept all the people who had sacrificed their lives for securing the rights of the people. Many people have become crippled. May Allah bless them with huge bounties. We have to strive for attaining freedom. Salvation does not come without struggle. We have to be firm and determined to get rid of barriers and shackles. We wish welfare for everyone. We have to avoid recklessness activities.
He said, if the ruling party men have the rights to do politics, it should be given to all other citizens as well. We have to fearful of Allah. Jamaat Ameer prayed to Allah seeking freedom for this nation. He also prayed for the religious scholars so that they can play due role to establish justice. May Allah allow us to get the real taste of independence. May Allah save the Palestinians from the crackdown and genocide. He concluded the event by seeking blessing for the benefit of the country, nation and the Muslim community.
