Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman has said that the government has miserably failed to curb the price hike of the essentials even in the holy month of Ramadan. As the government is not elected by the people so they do not feel any responsibility towards the people. During this holy month of Ramadan, people cannot eat food due to excessive price hike of the essentials. Because of their irresponsibility, the banks are becoming bankrupt one by one. To tackle the terrible banking situation, the government has decided to merge the weak bank with strong one.
Professor Mujibur Rahman said this while addressing the members' conference organized by Kurigram district Jamaat today. District Ameer Maulana Abdul Matin Faruqee presided over the conference which was hosted by district secretary Maulana Nizam Uddin. Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim, assistant regional coordinator Principal Maulana Momtaz Uddin and central working committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal and the district leaders also addressed the program.
Professor Mujibur Rahman said, we have to take all-out preparations to launch movement against the government which is not elected and which are not sincere to act responsibly for the people.
Jamaat's Nayeb-e-Ameer said, to alleviate poverty, zakat system should be introduced at all levels. And to collect Zakat properly, there is no alternative but establishing an Islamic state.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, Ramadan is the month for securing morality. A historic war took place in this month between the truth and the evil. Abdul Halim urged the members to play pivotal roles in fulfilling the objectives and visions of the organisation. A broad-based unity should be established to implement all declared programs of the organisation.
