Jamaat’s City and District Ameer’s conference held

Calls to initiate ceasefire in Palestine ahead of Ramadan

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s City and District Ameer conference held with party’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman in the chair. The conference expressed concern over the ongoing genocide in Palestine. A proposal has been adopted in the conference which urged the United Nations, United States and the peace-loving community of the world to come forward in order to execute a ceasefire ahead of Ramadan.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s City and District Ameer conference is observing with deep concern that since last 7th October, the Israelis have been carrying out genocide and atrocities in the holy land of Palestine. They have turned the Palestine into a debris. Whereas, United States is nakedly supporting Israel by providing arms, money and other support. United Nations and many other countries are pressing Israel to initiate a ceasefire but the Israeli authorities are paying no heed to such recommendations. The United State government in one side is extending support to Israel while apparently, they are calling for ceasefire. The Israelis are not agreeing to stop bloodshed due to double-standard policy of the United States. If the United States were sincere, then ceasefire in Palestine would be very easy.

Following the Gaza invasion, the Israeli air forces have been continuing attacks in Rafallah and Rafah city as well. Israeli massacres so far have left more than 30,500 people killed and injured 71 thousand more. The Israelis are brutally murdering the Palestinians by crushing them through bulldozers. The Israelis are committing an ethnical cleansing in Palestine. It is emergency to take initiative by the global communities to take strict measures to bring an end to the Israeli genocide in Palestine.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s City and District Ameer conference is urging the world communities to undertake due measures to stop genocide and massacre in Palestine ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.”
