Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said, ongoing movement to be continued for restoring caretaker government system ignoring all repressions. Defying the people’s demand and public sentiment for restoring caretaker government system, the government is mulling to hold another farcical election like 2014 and 2018. The repressor regime wants to subdue the ongoing movement by engaging law enforcers in a wrong way. But the countrymen are not inclined to see the recurrence of another objectionable election.

Almost all political parties and international quarters are pressing to hold a fair and participatory election. But the government is continuing to ignore those recommendations due to its fascist approach. The people highly dissatisfied and angered over the corruption, misrule and looting of the government. Maulana Abdul Halim urged the Jamaat leaders to make the ongoing movement successful by rejecting all tortures and obstacles. He also drew the attention of the presence to strengthen the organization in Pabna which is enriched with the noble memories of Maulana Matiur Rahman Nizami and Maulana Abdus Subhan.

Pabna district Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer and Atghoria Upazila’s former chairman Maulana Zohurul Islam presided over the program. Among others, Bogra region’s team member Professor Nazrul Islam, Oabna district Ameer Professor Abu Taleb Mondol, Pabna district Jamaat’s working committee member Golam Rabbani Khan Jubayer, Ishwardi Upazila Ameer Professor Nuruzzaman Pramanik and Atghoria upazila Ameer Hafez Maulana Amirul Islam addressed the program.
