Handover power to the caretaker government and resign immediately, Acting Ameer urges the government

-Professor Mujibur Rahman

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur Rahman has said Almighty Allah has given us good conscience. We can secure the path of Jannah by urging people to do good things and also by preventing themselves from any wrongdoings. Urging the government, he said hand over power to the caretaker government and resign immediately. Give up the avarice for power. Power greedy people cannot make welfare for the people. If this government can arrange a free fair and credible election under a caretaker government, it would be better for them and also for the nation.

He said this while addressing the conference of the Associate Members on 7th October today. Kushtia district Jamaat organized the program. Kushtia district Ameer Professor Maulana Abul Hashem presided over the conference which was hosted by district secretary Professor Suja Uddin.

Acting Ameer said, the government has been carrying out torture and repression against opposition leaders, particularly against Jamaat leaders and activists for last 15 years. They have kept Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and other leaders for many days. I am demanding immediate release of all political detainees.

He said, Jamaat’s welfare activities can never by subdued by the means of torture and repression. Right now, the movement for restoring caretaker government system is becoming intense. I am urging the countrymen to take part in this movement in order to compel the government to stepdown immediately.

Addressing the program, Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Moazzam Hossain Helal said, despite the severe repression of the evil forces, Allah will keep the light of His Deen on. Whoever surrender before Allah, He will guide them. A man with true faith never goes back from the right path.

Jessore-Kushtia region’s coordinator and Jamaat’s central executive committee member Mobarak Hossain said, Almighty Allah sent His final messenger to make Islam victorious over all other doctrines. So, whoever sacrifices life for the sake of Allah, victory becomes inevitable for him.

Among others, Kushtia district Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Abdul Gafur and other district leaders spoke on the occasion.
