Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer and former lawmaker Professor Mujibur Rahman urged the government, political parties and affluent corners of the society to help the victims of Mohammadpur Krishi Market fire incident. He said this while visiting the devastated spot and distributing financial assistance among the fire victims today.
The distribution program was arranged in an auditorium in Mohammadpur of the capital. Jamaat’s central working committee member and Dhaka North city’s Acting Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa presided over the program. Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka north city Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Dr. Fakhruddin Manik and Jamaat’s Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka north city Jamaat’s working committee member Ziaul Hasan were also present in the program. Jamaat today distributed taka 6 lakhs among 25 victim traders of Mohammadpur Krishi Market.
Professor Mujibur Rahman said, Jamaat is a pro-people party. Jamaat’s basic target is to ensure welfare of the general masses. So, since the onset, we have tried to remain by the side of the people. As a part of the same legacy, we are here beside you. Actually, it is the obligation of the state to resolve all crises, particularly during natural and manmade catastrophe. But the people are being deprived of such privilege as Islamic state is not established yet. So, we have to establish Islamic order in the society to ensure public welfare. He urged everybody to join that noble effort.
He stated that trial and tribulations come upon a Muslim to give a chance for self-purification and attaining salvation. We should believe in fate. We should try to pass the test, as it comes from Allah. We have to pray with patience in all circumstances. We have to pray for our proper sustenance. Besides, we should do good deeds and try to refrain others from doing bad deeds. Only then, the nation will get rid of poverty, hunger and exploitations.
