Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nilphamari district organized a virtual leadership conference on 30th August with district Ameer Abdur Rashid in the chair. Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim addressed the conference as the chief guest. Rangpur-Dinajpur region’s team member Maulana Abdul Khaleq spoke on the occasion as the special guest.
Maulana Abdul Halim said, the next parliamentary election to be held under a caretaker regime. It is no more a demand of the political parties rather it becomes the demand of the 18 crores of people. The oppressor government must be dethroned through movement. The government must be made compelled to hold a free, fair and credible election in order to regain people’s voting rights. To meet the target, people should be made involved with the ongoing democratic and systematic movement.
During the tenure of the present government, many people have become the victims of the enforced disappearance. Whoever have become disappeared so far, among them there are Jamaat’s former Ameer Professor Ghulam Azam’s son, former Brigadier General (Rtd.) Abdullahil Aman Azmi, Jamaat’s former executive committee member and Supreme court lawyer Barrister Mir Ahmad Bin Quasem Arman, Hafez Zakir Hossain, Islami University student and Islami Chhatrashibir leader Al Muqaddas and Mohammad Wali Ullah, BNP leader Elias Ali and former commissioner Chowdhury Alam and others. However, the Islamic movement will go ahead despite all barriers based on the blessings of Almighty Allah.
District Secretary Professor Antajul Islam hosted the program. Among others, Nilphamari district Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr. Khairul Anam, Principal Maulana Abdus Sattar, Rangpur city Secretary Obaidullah Salafi also addressed the conference. District’s working committee members, different Upazila Ameer, Nayeb-e-Ameer and Secretaries took part in the conference.
