Bogra city members’ Training Workshop held

Jamaat-e-Islami is moving forward despite the government’s persecution and torture

-Maulana Abdul Halim

Jamaat-e-Islami Bogra city unit organized a members’ training workshop held on 26th May. City Ameer Principal Abidur Rahman Sohel presided over the program which was hosted by city Jamaat Secretary Professor A S M Abdul Malek.

Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General and Bogra region’s coordinator Maulana Abdul Halim addressed the workshop as the chief guest. He said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has become the worst victim of repression under the regime of the incumbent tyrannical government. But despite all these persecutions and tortures, Jamaat-e-Islami is moving forward with good spirit and strong confidence.

He further said, the government has kept Jamaat Ameer and other top leaders behind the bar unreasonably. While the leaders are attempting to come out of the jail after securing bail from the High Court, at that time they are being re-arrested from the jailgate. Jamaat leaders are being harassed repeatedly in connection with some false and concocted cases. I am demanding the immediate release of all the detained leaders and activists.

Maulana Abdul Halim said a new set of programs will be declared shortly to dethrone the incumbent government and also for facilitating the release of our detained leaders. Jamaat leaders and activists of all levels should play an active role to make these programs successful.

Jamaat’s central executive committee member and central publicity secretary Advocate Matiur Rahman Akanda addressed the workshop as the special guest. Among others, Bogra region’s team member Maulana Abdur Rahim, Professor Nazrul Islam, and Bogra city’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Abdul Halim Beg spoke on the occasion.
