Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Acting Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman has said, the historic Badar war had changed the directives of the Islamic movement. In this war, the Muslim secured victory against the mighty forces of the disbeleivers and consequently turned into a irresistable force. So, we have to motivated with the spirit of the Badar and also to remain firm for the cause of establishing Islam. He urged everybody to form broad base unity to fulfill the demand of the establishing caretaker government system ignoring all tortures and repressions of the incumbent government.

He said this whole addressing a discussion program organized by Dhaka north city Jamaat on the occason of historic Badar Day. Central working committee member and Dhaka North city Jamaat’s Acting Ameer Abdur Rahman Musa presided over the program which was hosted by city Secretary and Jamaat’s working committee member Dr. Mohammad Rezaul Karim. Among others, Jamaat’s central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka north city Nayeb-e-Ameer Engineer Golam Mustofa, central Majlish-e-Shura member and Dhaka north city Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman, Nazim Uddin Molla and Dr. Fakhruddin Manik addressed the program.

Professor Mujibur Rahman said, the Quran is the difference maker between the truth and the false and this Quran was revealed in this month of Ramadan. While, giving a significant victory in this same month, Almghty Allah has elevated the status of Islam and the Muslims. Actually, Badar war the deciding war and turning point for the Muslims.

The sacred night of Lailatul Qadr is included in this month as well. This night is better and prestigious than thousands of nights. But even in this holy month, the government is torturing against us. They have arrested Dhaka north city Ameer Selim Uddin from a Iftar program and tortured him. Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and other top leaders are still behind the bar. He urged the government to stop oppression and to release all political prisoners including Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and Selim Uddin immediately.

He said, the anti-Islamic forces made conspiracy to extinguish the light of Islam in all ages. But their plot did not succeeded. The victory of Islam is inevitable and no one has the power to resist it. Practically, Islam has come in this world to become victorious while the evil force’s defeat is certain. So, we have to work hard to reach our ultimate goal of victory by defying all the barriers and repressions. Number is not important here. Rather, we have to tackle the adverse situation by increasing our quality and standard. He urged all to become inspired with the spirit of holy Badar for making all out effort to turn this country into an Islamic state.

Abdur Rahman Musa said, the holy war of Badar took place on the 17th of Ramadan. So, we have to be united based on the spirit of this great incident of history. Abdur Rahman Musa also demanded release of Mohammad Selim Uddin even before the ensuing Eid-ul-Fitr.
