By distributing blankets among the poor people of Panchagar Sadar and Boda Upazila, Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim launched this year’s winter clothes distribution program among the poor people on 18th November, Friday.

At that time, he said, Jamaat-e-Islami wants to stand by the side of the people during the crisis. Jamaat-e-Islami tries to treat people humanely not based on their religious identity. Human identity should be prioritized over political identity. This is why; we are trying to help people during their crucial time.

He said Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is a pro-people leader. Ahead of the winter season, he thought about the sufferings of the poor and helpless people. This is why we came here to distribute blankets among you. This is not our kindness but rather an obligation. A political party’s responsibility is to serve people. We are launching a winter cloth distribution program from Panchagar and Kurigram. Gradually, it will be implemented in all districts.

Jamaat-e-Islami wants to establish a just humanitarian society. Only then, no one will be able to launder money. Now, the money of the people is being embezzled, and the bank’s money is being looted. To get rid of this situation, we have to create a corruption-free society based on Islam. Jamaat-e-Islami is working for it.

Maulana Abdul Halim said, a united role to be played against the incumbent oppressor government. They have seized people’s rights away. Hundreds of religious scholars are now in jail. People’s sufferings know no bounds due to massive price hikes of the essentials.

At that time, Panchagar district Ameer Professor Iqbal Hossein, district secretary Maulana Delawar Hossain, Boda-Debiganj constituency’s leader Advocate Azizul Islam, Panchagar municipality Jamaat Ameer Joinal Abedin, and district’s office secretary Abu Bakar Siddiq were present on the occasion.
