Jamaat will be by the side of crisis-affected people, says Hamidur Rahman Azad

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General and former parliament member AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad said people of Sylhet and other regions of the country have been badly affected by the recent flood. Since the onset of this natural disaster, Jamaat-e-Islami was the side of the flood victims as per its capacity. Though the flood water has gone away but Jamaat-e-Islami did not leave the victims. The party is performing the rehabilitation activities gradually and it will be continued by the will of Almighty Allah.

He further said we are doing humanitarian activities to attain the satisfaction of Allah. But the state apparatus are continuing repression against us by utilizing its organs. We are ready to continue our humanitarian services ignoring all repressions, torture, and conspiracies. Jamaat had been by the side of the danger and crises-affected people and will remain in the future Insha Allah.

He said this while distributing tins and cash assistance among the flood victim families in Sylhet on Friday as the chief guest. Sylhet city Ameer Muhammad Fakhrul Islam presided over the program which was hosted by city secretary Mohammad Shahjahan Ali. Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary General Advocate Ahasanul Mahaboob Zubayer and Sylhet regional leader Hafiz Abdul Hie Harun were present on the occasions as the special guests.

Among others, Sylhet city Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Sohel Ahmed, Assistant Secretary Advocate Mohammad Abdur Rab and Dr. Nurul Islam Babul, Jamaat leader Mufti Ali Haider, Advocate Jamil Ahmed Raju and Shafiqul Alam Mofiq were present at that time.
