Magura district Jamaat-e-Islami arranged a virtual program to mark their latest effort of providing financial assistance to 6 families who have lost their near and dear ones in a ship capsize incident at Chittagong port. The program was organized in the Eid gah ground of the Mondolgati village under Polashbaria union of Muhammadpur Upazila in Magura district on 19th October. District Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Principal Maulana Mahbubur Rahman hosted the program which was presided over by district Ameer Professor M B Baker.
Joining the program virtually Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, may Allah accept all the victims of the ship capsize incident including 5 ones of this Mondolgati village as martyrs. May Allah forgive their sins and bless with Jannah. Whoever lost their family members, someone else is not able to remove their pain. But as a human being, it is our duty and obligation to help others, particularly when they are in danger. Jamaat-e-Islami tries to be with people out of seasons. We are not doing it for any worldly benefit. Whatever we do, it is just because we want to attain the satisfaction of Almighty Allah.
Jamaat’s central executive committee member and Jessor-Kushtia region’s coordinator Md. Mobarak Hossain and team member Abdul Matin were present on the occasion as the special guest. Among others, Polashbaria union council chairman Syed Sekandar Ali, district Jamaat’s Secretary Professor Sayeed Ahmad Bachchu, Assistant Secretary Abdul Gaffar, Muhammadpur upazila Ameer Maulana Kabir Hossain, Polashbaria union Ameer Maulana Abdus Sabur, ship laborer Bilal Hossain spoke over there. Each of the victim families receive 50 thousand taka on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami.
