Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said, flood and all other natural calamities come from Allah. No danger is permanent. During the recent flood, Jamaat-e-Islami took the side of the flood victims based on the help of hundreds of thousands of noble leaders and activists of this organization. We would like to thank all of them for their sincere support and assistance. May Allah bless them all. Many solvent people, who had extended their helping hand, have left the area now as the flood water has gone away. But we are still here, by the side of the flood victims, and trying to facilitate their rehabilitation. We will continue our efforts to make the flood-affected people self-reliant. We want your sincere doa, love, and assistance in this regard.
During the flood, we sought some assistance from our leaders and activists. We received 10 times more than what we had expected from them by the grace of Almighty Allah. Our only target is to attain the satisfaction of Allah by serving humanity. Jamaat Ameer said this while distributing tins among flood affected 12 families in Sylhet city’s Dakhin Surma’s 41, 42 and 43 wards.
Sylhet city Ameer Fakhrul Islam presided over the program which was hosted by city Secretary Shahjahan Ali. Among others, city Jamaat’s Assistant Secretary Nurul Islam Bulbul, Dakhin Surma thana secretary Faizul Islam Zaigirdar, Kazi Zafar Ahmed, former councilor Abdul Jalil Nazrul and local Jamaat and Shibir leaders were present on the occasion.
